*   Readers please note that this list presents this series in the order in which C.S. Lewis wrote the books.

**  The Magician’s Nephew  is often mistakenly identified as the first book of the series.  The Magician’s Nephew  presents a prequil that explains the orgins of Narnia; however, the Pevensie children (Lucy, Susan, Edmund, and Peter) are older in this book than in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.  If you read The Magician’s Nephew  before The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe you will be reading the Pevensie’s story out of order.
